Executive Producer- Beach Happy Company

Orange Beach, AL
Full Time
Experienced
Job Summary
Beach Happy is seeking a highly creative, hands-on Executive Producer / Head of Content to lead the strategy, production, and execution of all Beach Happy content. This is the senior-most content position within the company and is responsible for turning the Beach Happy brand into a consistent, recognizable content platform across social media, Beach Happy Radio, podcasts, events, partnerships, road experiences, and emerging channels.
This role requires much more than managing a content team. The Executive Producer is a working producer who can develop the idea, cast the right personality, organize the production, capture the content, identify the moment, and get it published. The position leads a lean production team of Road Hosts and Shooter/Editors and is responsible for maintaining a fast, consistent content operation without sacrificing the authenticity and personality that define the Beach Happy brand.
The ideal candidate combines creative vision, strong editorial instincts, production expertise, operational discipline, and an understanding of what makes personality-driven content perform. This person should be equally comfortable developing a new content series, directing talent, planning a multi-city shoot, reviewing audience performance, managing a production budget, or picking up a camera and editing a piece themselves.
Essential Responsibilities
  • Content Strategy & Daily Production: Own the overall Beach Happy content strategy, weekly production slate, shooting routes, production calendar, and publishing cadence across all platforms. Maintain a consistent flow of approximately 2–4 publishable pieces per day while ensuring there are no unnecessary gaps in content production or distribution.
  • Creative & Format Development: Develop repeatable content formats, recurring series, beach and destination features, interviews, event coverage, personality-driven concepts, partner content, and other programming that can grow with the brand. Continuously identify new people, places, trends, and moments that can become compelling Beach Happy content.
  • Editorial Direction & Brand Voice: Own the editorial direction of Beach Happy content, including storytelling, captions, tone, pacing, visual approach, and publishing standards. Ensure content remains authentic, entertaining, positive, family-friendly, and consistent with the Beach Happy brand while avoiding content that feels overly scripted or overproduced.
  • Hands-On Production: Personally shoot and edit content using mobile and mirrorless cameras and fast-turn editing platforms such as CapCut or Adobe Premiere. Capture clean audio in uncontrolled public environments, recognize strong moments in real time, and produce same-day content when needed. This position must remain capable of stepping into any stage of production rather than relying entirely on the team.
  • Team Leadership & Talent Development: Lead, cast, coach, schedule, and develop Road Hosts and Shooter/Editors. Establish clear expectations for production quality, speed, ownership, and output while helping on-camera talent strengthen their interviewing, storytelling, self-shooting, and content instincts.
  • Road & Field Production: Plan and oversee Beach Happy road production throughout the Gulf Coast and on multi-day regional or destination shoots. Coordinate routes, schedules, locations, travel, lodging, transportation, equipment, production access, and other logistics required to keep the crew operating efficiently in the field.
  • Events, Activations & Partnerships: Lead content planning and coverage for Beach Happy events, venue activations, partnerships, tourism opportunities, and other brand experiences. Ensure important events have clear production ownership and that content opportunities are identified before, during, and after each activation.
  • Beach Happy Radio: Oversee Beach Happy Radio programming from concept through execution, including programming strategy, recurring segments, rotation, voice breaks, station IDs, sponsor integrations, and other original audio content. Create opportunities for radio programming and personalities to generate additional social and digital content.
  • Podcast & Long-Form Content: Oversee Beach Happy podcast and recurring long-form programming, including format development, cadence, guest planning, recording, post-production, publishing, and distribution. Build each long-form production with social distribution in mind and identify multiple short-form pieces that can extend the life and reach of each episode.
  • Publishing & Distribution: Oversee the complete content workflow from capture through final publication. Ensure finished content is properly formatted and distributed for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, Facebook, and other relevant platforms while maintaining an organized pipeline of upcoming and reusable content.
  • Content Performance & Audience Growth: Monitor audience growth, engagement, content performance, and platform trends to determine what is working and where the team should adjust. Use performance data alongside strong creative judgment to improve formats, publishing decisions, and future production priorities.
  • Budget, Vendors & Production Resources: Manage content-related production expenses and resources, including equipment, software, licensing, travel, freelance support, vendors, paid amplification, and other production needs. Maintain appropriate oversight of spending and provide regular reporting on content investments and performance.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Work closely with Beach Happy leadership and internal teams to identify business priorities, partnerships, events, personalities, and stories that should become content. Balance planned production with the flexibility to respond quickly when an unexpected opportunity or culturally relevant moment arises.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience producing personality-driven, social-first, digital, entertainment, lifestyle, travel, hospitality, or comparable content with a daily or near-daily publishing cadence.
  • Proven ability to personally shoot AND edit short-form content and deliver finished work on a fast or same-day timeline.
  • Strong proficiency with CapCut, Adobe Premiere, or comparable editing software, along with experience shooting on both mobile and mirrorless cameras.
  • Advanced understanding of TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, Facebook, and how content should be adapted for different platforms.
  • Demonstrated experience developing successful recurring content formats and identifying stories and moments that connect with an audience.
  • Experience casting, managing, coaching, and directing on-camera personalities and production team members.
  • Proven experience growing digital audiences and using analytics and performance data to guide future content decisions.
  • Strong editorial judgment, storytelling instincts, copywriting skills, and ability to maintain a consistent brand voice across multiple content formats.
  • Experience planning and executing multi-day or multi-city production travel, including schedules, locations, equipment, transportation, and other field-production logistics.
  • Experience managing production budgets, vendors, resources, and recurring financial reporting.
  • Experience with radio, streaming audio, podcasting, music programming, or other recurring audio/long-form programming is strongly preferred.
  • Experience producing within a small, fast-moving team where individuals are expected to work across traditional production.
  • Gulf Coast, hospitality, tourism, entertainment, live event, travel, music, or creator-brand experience is preferred.
  • Must live on the Gulf Coast or be willing to relocate.
  • Valid driver's license and current passport required.
  • Must be available for frequent regional travel, multi-day production trips, evenings, weekends, events, and seasonal production demands.

This is a hands-on leadership position. The Executive Producer must be able to lead the entire content operation while remaining personally capable of shooting, editing, producing, and publishing. Candidates who have moved entirely away from hands-on production will not be the right fit for this role.
