Janitorial Technician

Job Summary:
The Facility Technician should be skilled to perform essential cleaning tasks throughout each facility on the Flora-Bama property. To be successful in this role, one must be self-motivated and demonstrate strong organizational/time management skills as well as exhibit motivation, delegation, ownership, leading by example and excellent communication skills, etc. It is essential to the success of the Flora-Bama that the Facility Technician can deliver on the following necessary tasks for this job.
- Accurate logging of hours worked at separate locations
- Detailed cleaning of company facilities includes, but is not limited to, offices, conference rooms, kitchens, bathrooms, music stages, and common areas
- Cleaning includes but is not limited to, dusting, wiping surfaces, cleaning toilets, emptying trash, vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping.
- Operate pressure and power washers (heated water/steam) daily at assigned areas, including stages, common areas, bathrooms, picnic tables, fences, stairs, and any other areas assigned per the daily cleaning checklists
- Lifting trash bags and empty boxes and placing them into a dumpster
- Perform required preventative maintenance and care of all team equipment (as required per maintenance section of operators’ manual Follow procedures for proper use and storage of chemicals
- Notify manager concerning the need for required repairs to facility equipment and possible emergencies
- Monitor building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors and gates before/after operating hours
- Upkeep in curb appeal which includes potential landscaping and ground maintenance
- Previous large volume cleaning experience such as in schools, hospitals, etc. is preferred
- Previous experience in overnight operations within the last year is preferred
- Ability to work in a warm/hot environment
- Ability to multitask and take ownership of the different tasks that are assigned
- Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative independent of direct supervision
- Ability to effectively communicate with guests, peers, and management
- Valid driver’s license
- Basic computer knowledge; how to send and receive emails
- Transportation to and from all locations on the Flora-Bama property
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds. Constant moving, talking, hearing, reaching, grabbing, and standing for up to 8 consecutive hours and occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders
- The average shift will consist of 8 hours beginning at 1:00 am (40-hour/week).
